It is not uncommon for the John William Golding, c1704-1782, and Elizabeth Foster, c1704-1775, line to appear in our DNA matches.
We know that we are distinct and not from the same male line as the Goldings per yDNA testing. Both lines are y700 tested.
Alternative or parallel DNA match tracking shows that our kinship is probably via the Foster line. DNA matches lead back to early Virginia settlers James Richard Foster, 1619–1681, and Susannah Garnett, 1620–1660.
