A Probable History of the Golden Family
of Newberry, South Carolina Since 1761

Kinship to the Nalle family has long been suspected. There is no shortage of DNA matches with Nalle descendants.
One reason for this DNA matching is that we both share a common set of grandparents:
- Robert Thomas Loftin, 1691–1751, and
- Ellinor Ives, 1691–1741
Robert and Ellinor Ives Loftin‘s grandson Isaac Newton Teague Sr, 1748–1824, would marry Mary Judith Nalle, 1744–1824, and there are many descendants of this marriage.
Within the Nathaniel Greene Golden line (NGG I), 1783-aft.1822, we connect via Catherine Isabell Chitta Loftin, 1722–1801, daughter of Robert and Ellinor Ives Loftin. Catherine Loftin married Thomas Morgan, 1724–1792 being NGG grandparents.
