~~~ 1861: English Gouldman lines may have gone extinct or immigrated during 1860s. None listed in 1871 census. Information does exist on a number of the 1861 censused Gouldmans. There was indeed immigration for some. Immigration within the British Empire was not always well recorded as they were just moving elsewhere in the empire and were not considered as ‘immigrants’ per se.

Listed in 1861 census: … 2 of the 5 Gouldman families are of foreign origin, one born in Connecticut, USA, or so the census says.
