Golding / Golden / Goulding et al Family History on Facebook
2017.08.06 — Just started this page. Much to be added. Focus is on both settlement in the Old Edgefield County, South Carolina before it was broken up and the Ninety Six District.
Theory: Upper Saluda of Edgefield County was heavily settled by Virginians in the 1750s through 1770s. These settlers came from well-established Virginia families originating from areas of the former Lancaster and Old Rappahanock County, Virginia. Upper Saluda settlers were generally not new arrivals from abroad or migrating Scots-Irish from Pennsylvania.
