Caroline made her solo debut at age 13 … but began playing at age three.
She is a 2009 winner of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions. In 2009 she also released her own CD which reached as high as #15 for classical violinist CDs, and garnered Caroline a Grammy nomination.

Called “precociously gifted” by Gramophone, the young virtuoso violinist Caroline Goulding has performed as a soloist since her debut at age 13 with some of North America’s premier orchestras including The Cleveland Orchestra, Toronto Symphony, National Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, Colorado Symphony, Dallas Symphony, Houston Symphony, Detroit Symphony, New Mexico Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, Louisville Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the Cleveland Pops and the Cincinnati Pops. Caroline has also appeared in recital at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, the Kennedy Center, Beijing’s Forbidden City Concert Hall and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
Throughout the 2012-2013 season, Caroline made debuts in Germany, Japan and China in addition to her performances with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, California Symphony, Pasadena Symphony, Camerata Chicago and the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra. The 2013-2014 season brings several engagements in Europe, Asia, and the United States with the Pacific Symphony, the Florida Orchestra, and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra. She will appear as part of the Young Concert Artists Tokyo Series and the Great Performers of Lincoln Center series, along with a German and French recital tour with frequent collaborator, pianist Michael Brown.
Caroline’s recognition from the classical music world’s most distinguished artists, critics and institutions has been significant. She was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2011; and in 2009, she won the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, was the recipient of the Helen Armstrong Violin Fellowship, and received a Grammy nomination for her debut recording on the Telarc label. Violinist Jaime Laredo who called Caroline “one of the most gifted and musically interesting violinists I have heard in a long time; her playing is heartfelt and dazzling.” after her self-titled album spent several weeks on Billboard’s Classical Chart. Composer John Corigliano commented on her recording of his Red Violin Caprices stating, “She gives a totally individual interpretation to my music and I only hope that she gives my other violin works a glance.”
The Washington Post has proclaimed “Goulding is a skilled violinist well on her way to an important career,” while The Cleveland Plain Dealer has praised Caroline for being “vibrant and intensely musical.” Caroline has appeared on NBC’s Today, MARTHA, PBS’s From the Top: Live from Carnegie Hall with world-renowned banjo player Bela Fleck, and made her debut in December 2012 on Germany’s hit primetime television show Stars von Morgen (Stars of Tomorrow) hosted by Rolando Villazón on ZDF/ARTE. On the radio, Caroline has been a guest on NPR’s Performance Today, From the Top, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, WNYC New York and on CosmoGirl Online. In December 2009, Caroline was named Musical America’s Artist of the Month.
Caroline currently studies with Donald Weilerstein and Christian Tetzlaff as a Young Soloist at Kronberg Academy, funded by the Stork-Wersborg Stipendium.” Her past influences include Paul Kantor, Joel Smirnoff and Julia Kurtyka.
