Below are autosomal DNA (atDNA) matches using Ancestry.com.
Using atDNA requires comparing two family trees once a match has been made between you and another atDNA test match. Sometimes there is a very apparent match, and sometimes there just is not. Using atDNA, you receive at the least a major pointer to families that you are ‘somehow’ related to … but traditional genealogic research is required to make heads or tails of it all.
When I cannot identify any specific matches then I look for Goldens, Goldings and such in the other person’s tree. My listing of a name and their family line does not mean that I am definitely related via that Golden. It means that somehow we are related and the only possible explanation that I could find was finding someone with the same approximate last name as me.

Whether an ancestral line is Maternal (Clara Anne Norfleet Golden) or Paternal (John Henry Golden) is indicated in the last column. For whatever reason, atDNA testing by Ancestry has produced few matches with my maternal line.

— Comments: Based upon the DNA owner’s name LisaDillard68 then I assume that this match comes from someone in the Dillard family. The Dillards and my Goldens are most definitely related — but this cannot be Dillard blood that matches my line. This match must be based upon the Dillard children inheriting DNA from Bessie W Golden (1901-1987) who married Sam R Dillard (abt 1893-1970). Bessie is my great aunt. Her parents (my greatgrandparens) were John Hambright “Henry” Golden (1866 – 1937) and Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Bridges (1880 – 1958).
