— Served honorably in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. On April 2, 1949, he married Helen L. Golden. He was employed by General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1990. Mr. Hopper was a member of the American Legion Post #282 and the N.R.A. He was an avid gardener.
