Sheriff Kenneth “Ken” Golden

Family History: unresearched. However, descendents of Richard “Ali” Golden born about 1800 in South Carolina settled in Oklahoma. William Anderson Golden, born  January 24, 1848 in Walker County, Georgia, died February 9, 1908 in Ada, Pontotoc County. William Anderson Golden’s descendents continue to live in and around Pontotoc County today (2013).

Pontotoc County is the county just north of Bryan County.

Sheriff Kenneth “Ken” Golden took office in 2013 as sheriff of Bryan County. County population: 2416, county size: 909 square miles. County Seat: Durant (Zip: 74701). Prior to election, he served as the Bryan County Undersheriff for the past 20 years.
