Jeff Golden served in the U.S. Army during World War I (1918-19) as a member of the Ordnance Corps. Rank: PFC. After the war he returned to Oconee, South Carolina, but at some time between 1920 and 1927 he went North where he met and married Sarah Ann Shaub in 1927 at Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

As World War II came, Jeff was working in the Philadelphia Ship Yard in 1942, and living in Delaware.

>>> His WW II draft card record describes him (1942) as 5’4, 122 lbs, brown eyes, light skinned and bald.

Buried as a veteran in the Beverly National Cemetery, Beverly, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA

Parents:

John Rufus Golden (1846-1918) and Ruth Caroline Cannon (1862-1941), both living their lives in Anderson County, South Carolina.

Married:

Sarah Ann Shaub (1892-1960) of York Co., Pennsylvania; married 1927.

Children: Jeff Davis, Jr., Minnie and Lily.

Relationship: Jeff Golden is my 2nd cousin, x2 removed (2 generations in the past).
