Male Norfleets are from which Haplotype and Haplogroup?
A number of male Norfleets are yDNA tested.
I know only of the results for one SNP-tested male Norfleet, whose test results indicate: P312>Z290>L21>DF13>ZZ10>Z253
There are 1268 members in the FamilyTreeDNA yDNA R-Z253 sample base.
Z253 has been found in FTDNA samples with ancestry from Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Wales (FTDNA).

Until mid-2016, the The Norfleet DNA Project was hosted on the World Families Network, which was a FamilyTreeDNA partner.
At the time World Families Network shut down in 2016, there were two yDNA studies:
- Descendants of Thomas Norfleet, b. c1645, d. c1700 Nansemond County, Virginia. There were nine (9) yDNA test kits at that time (2016) indicating common paternal descent. These were labelled Lineage I.
- Descendants of Elisha Norfleet, b. 1800 Nansemond County, Virginia. There were three (3) yDNA test kits at that time (2016) indicating common paternal descent. These were labelled Lineage III.

Norfleet yDNA Info on Facebook
Philip Norfleet, whom I consider the most knowledgeable of Norfleet genealogists, started a Facebook page back in 2016 to track the DNA of those named Norfleet. Whether Phil’s page includes those descended from Norfleets or only males surnamed ‘Norfleet’ I do not know. Have requested to join so will find out (2021).
Phil’s Norfleet DNA and Genetic Science page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1157846607603763/
